In June 2014, the equipment was installed in Al Qasimi Hospital to begin the first surgery.  Al Qasimi hospital received a new robotic device from the MoH and prevention in 2018 to preform difficult catherization and cardiac procedures. Its advantages include a clinical success rate of 99.1% in challenging situations, a 95% reduction in radiation exposure for the primary operator, and speed and accuracy in surgical intervention. Additionally, in Rashid Hospital Dubai, robots are also used for catherization and cardiac surgeries. 

 

Obstetrics and Gynecology Robotic Surgery

The Robotic Surgeries Program in Gynecology and Obstetrics was inaugurated in April 2019 by the MoH and Prevention. The launch follows the robot’s successful usage in cardiac procedures, due to its capacity to access the most difficult portions of the human body, as well as its excellent precision due to the firmness of the robotic arm during the procedure.

In 2017, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), inaugurated the world’s first robot-assisted drug dispensing system in Rashid Hospital. Using the e-licensing system, a robot receives electronic printing orders and begins generating registration plates without the need for human participation.

Robots are used to clean Dubai Metro stations by RTA. The robotic cleaner’s objective is to reduce the amount of water used in typical cleaning while also providing purposeful sterilizing.
