UAE’s Plans for Hatta

The Hatta Beach Project aims to transform the region into a tourist destination. It plans to organize investment spaces and provisions, services, and entertainments for tourists on the waterfront region which will increase tourist flows into Hatta.

The Hatta Development Plan includes the development of the hotels that offer multiple services to community members and promote tourism and sports activities. A mountainside health resort in the mountain side is designed for tourists with facilities to practice sports and activities that are fitting to the Hatta terrain.

The plan additionally includes the development of a tourist’s funicular system, the first of its kind within the region, to ease the transportation of travelers to the dam site. A unique model staircase will be constructed to enhance access to the dam with many rest points along the way.
